How to Upload Files Using File Manager and FTP Print

  • 0

There are two main ways to upload files to your WebDaddy.Pro hosting account: using the File Manager in your Client Area or connecting via FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Both methods let you manage your website files quickly and securely.

Uploading Files with File Manager

  1. Log in to your Client Area.

  2. Go to Services → My Services and select your hosting plan.

  3. In the service dashboard, click File Manager.

  4. Navigate to the folder where you want to upload files (e.g., httpdocs or public_html).

  5. Click Upload and select the files from your computer.

  6. Once uploaded, the files will appear in the selected directory.

Tip: Use File Manager for quick edits, small uploads, or when you don’t have access to an FTP client.

Uploading Files with FTP

  1. Download and install an FTP client (e.g., FileZilla).

  2. Open the FTP client and enter your connection details:

    • Host: ftp.yourdomain.com

    • Username: Your FTP username (same as your hosting account or created under FTP Accounts).

    • Password: Your FTP password.

    • Port: 21

  3. Click Connect.

  4. On the left side, browse your local computer files. On the right side, browse your hosting server directories.

  5. Drag and drop files from your computer to the desired folder on the server (e.g., httpdocs or public_html).

  6. Wait for the transfer to complete.

Tip: Use FTP for larger uploads, bulk file transfers, or when managing multiple websites.
